The following pages are extracts from the diary of a student from Hampsted School, London.  Students from the school visited Second World War related sites in Canada and the USA in May 2005 as part of the TPYF Commemorative Visits Programme.  The group visited museums, memorials and historic sites, and spoke with veterans to explore the experiences of Canadians and Americans during and after the conflict, and their attitudes towards remembrance.
