Pupils from Ursuline High School, Wimbledon, travelled to the Lazio region of Italy to attend the sixtieth anniversary commemorations of the Battle of Monte Cassino and to learn more about the battle’s significance within the broader history of the Second World War.

Through the TPYF Commemorative Visits Programme we provided a variety of schools with the opportunity to travel to the Normandy area to study the D-Day Landings, and the impact of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy on Allied servicemen and women and the local population.
