As fourth prize winners in the Their Past Your Future D-Day and Beyond Competition, pupils from Holbrook Primary School, Portsmouth, won a trip to Portsmouth to participate in the DDay sixtieth anniversary commemorations being held in the city. Portsmouth played a vital role in the planning of Operation Overlord, which began with the D-Day Landings, and each year the city marks the anniversary with a series of parades and commemorative events. The sixtieth anniversary was no exception with large-scale celebrations across the city.
